Your memory cards may hold photos and videos that are hard to access on modern devices or scattered across old cards. Heirloom transfers memory card data into organized online folders, letting you stream, share, or download your files securely before they’re lost or forgotten.
What types of memory cards can Heirloom transfer?
Heirloom transfers data from all major memory card formats, including CompactFlash (CF), Memory Stick, SD, and MicroSD. If you’re unsure what you have, Heirloom identifies each card during inspection.
How are memory card transfers priced?
Transfers are priced by capacity tier: under 64 GB, 64–256 GB, and over 256 GB. You don’t need to measure or calculate—Heirloom confirms capacity upon arrival.
What happens when Heirloom receives my memory cards?
When your memory cards (and any other media) arrive, Heirloom inspects each item and sends an itemized quote for your approval. No transfer work begins until you approve the quote.
How are my files labeled and organized?
Each memory card is assigned a unique file number. All data from that card is transferred into an online folder with the same number, preserving a clear link between the physical card and its digital files.
Will my original folders and file structure be preserved?
Yes. Heirloom preserves the entire object hierarchy—folders, subfolders, and files—exactly as they exist on the card.
Can I stream, share, or download my files?
Yes. Photos and videos can be streamed directly in Heirloom, shared with others, or downloaded to any computer. While files are transferred exactly as they exist, JPG images and standard video files will render on any device (and directly in Heirloom). Files created with outdated or proprietary software may require legacy programs to open.
What if my memory card is blank or unreadable?
Memory cards confirmed to be completely blank are credited back to you as store credit for other services. While Heirloom has a strong recovery rate, no data transfer can be guaranteed due to age, corruption, or prior damage.
