Scan Photos to Digital
Heirloom specializes in transforming your physical photos into high-quality digital JPG files at 600 dots per inch (DPI). Our advanced scanning technology captures every detail, ensuring your digital copies are as vivid and beautiful as the originals. Enjoy the convenience and longevity of digital photos without compromising on quality.
Photo Scanning Service
Instead of creating digital clutter on vulnerable DVDs, Heirloom transfers your images directly to cloud storage. This means your digital pictures are backed up at multiple data centers, ensuring you never lose a file. You can also buy a USB flash drive as the next best alternative to managing your digitized photos.
All Sizes of Photo Prints
No photo is too big or too small for Heirloom. We accommodate all sizes of photo prints, including wallet-sized snapshots, 4x6, 8x10, and even large format images up to 17 inches. Our flexible scanning solutions ensure that every memory, regardless of its dimensions, is preserved in stunning digital quality.
Scanning Pictures
Scanning pictures with precision is our top priority. Heirloom perfoms a “1-to-1 capture” ensuring the scanned picture is flat, face-up, and not askew. Heirloom’s picture scanning service does not digitally edit your pictures, allowing you to select your own preferences for luminance, hue, and saturation.
Photo Organization
It’s much faster to organize your digitized images, than flipping through thousands of printed photos. Digital photo organization includes renaming, adding a description, and organizing pictures into different albums. Once organized, it’s easy to share individual images, or entire albums.
Sorting Your Photo Prints
At Heirloom, we understand that organizing your physical photos can be a daunting task. Therefore, we organize your prints by type, size, and volume to facilitate a clean capture of your images. As much as possible, we’ll also maintain any groupings and ordering of the prints you send us.
Best Way to Scan Old Photos
Our experts bag and tag each group of up to 100 photo prints with a unique tracking number. This physical itemization is the best way to scan old photos. The digital photos from each bag are uploaded as one album to your online Heirloom account.
Photos by the Inch
Heirloom charges one unit to scan each 1-inch group of 100 photos. This makes our service more affordable than buying a scanner and doing it yourself. Our technicians bag and tag each group, while doing their best to maintain the order and groupings of your envelopes, bags, and banded photos.
Photo Print Exceptions
Heirloom understands that some photographs have been mounted in frames, been removed from photo albums, or cut into non-rectangular shapes. Scanning these photo exceptions can cause damage to our expensive machinery. Therefore, non-rectangular cutouts, fragile prints, and any photo with adhesives, tape, or shedding sections will be scanned as Exceptions, each in groups of up to 50 photos.
