Files in a flash?
If you prefer a physical backup, buy a USB 3.0 flash drive, capable of storing all your files on a single device. Heirloom flash drives hold up to 500 hours of video—the equivalent of hundreds of DVDs. But beware, flash drives won't survive fires & floods.

Intelligent Permissions
Heirloom respects you as the owner of your content. You have full control. Choose to keep your files private, or share one or more files, with one or multiple people using the following permissions:
- Viewer: Viewers receive an email that they've been invited to enjoy one or more memories. This is Heirloom's default permission, and the safest way to share.
- Contributor: Contributors enjoy memories like a Viewer, but also comment and reshare the content by inviting new Contributors or Viewers.
- Editor: Similar to the Owner, Editors can rename, describe, or even delete memories. Editors can reshare by inviting new Editors, Contributors, or Viewers.
How Sharing Works
Content can be shared with an unlimited number of recipients. If you share with someone who doesn't already use Heirloom, they get a Basic one gigabyte (GB) account, always free for life. All accounts receive an unlimited amount of shared memories, not counting against their own storage.
