What types of discs can Heirloom transfer to digital?
Heirloom converts CDs, DVDs, Mini DVDs, and other optical discs to digital files. This includes discs with photos, home videos, and data—regardless of age or format.
What if my discs are unlabeled or unorganized?
No problem. Heirloom carefully reviews each disc and organizes your files so they’re easy to browse, stream, and share—even if nothing is labeled.
Are there discs that won’t be quoted or processed?
Yes. After inspection, cracked discs or discs with copyrighted content will not be quoted. You only pay to resuce data from discs with a reasonable opportunity for successful transfer.
Will my files stay organized and keep their original structure?
Yes. Heirloom preserves original folders and file structures whenever possible while enhancing organization for a better digital viewing experience.
What happens if a disc is blank or won’t play?
Heirloom inspects every disc upon receipt and provides a quote before any work begins. Once approved and paid, we begin processing. We may recondition scratched discs to recover files. If a disc is entirely blank—and did not require significant labor—you may receive a credit. However, if reconditioning or other recovery work was required, a credit is not available even if no files are recovered.
